Becoming a Cybersecurity and/or Operational Resilience consultant will mean joining the Cybersecurity and/or Operational Resilience Global Practice which is an independent and an in-house team of 700+ people working seamlessly across the globe (New York, Dallas, London and Paris). We have developed a 360° expertise from strategies, operating models, Executive-level support to Red teaming, security architecture with a focus on major transformation programs. 

Job Description

The opportunity 

At the crossroads of management and digital consulting, you will assist large organizations - including FTSE 100, Fortune 500 and CAC40 clients - in their most critical transformations.  

As a Cybersecurity Analyst at Wavestone, you will play a key role in delivering cybersecurity transformation projects across a wide range of areas of excellence and varying from maturity assessments, crisis exercises, strategy pieces, remediation activities and many more.  

As an analyst, you will typically support Wavestone engagement teams and our clients by building deliverables, helping run workshops, gathering information and requirements, and working alongside client stakeholders to ensure smooth running of the project.  

In the UK, most of our clients are Financial Services Institutions, however we also have experience working with transport, energy, retail and the public sector among other industries. 

As part of the Cybersecurity Graduate programme, you will assist client and your project lead in the following areas: 

  • Innovate for our clients, partners, and employees; Identity and access management, IT and OT cybersecurity convergence, IoT security & product security office, Third party risk management, etc. 
  • Protect our clients; Security principles & architecture definition, cloud & API, SOC & Fusion Centers definition & sourcing, Industrial plant cyber security, resilience & crisis management, etc. 
  • Ensure operational excellence; Cybersecurity and/or operational resilience convergence, Strategy & roadmap, Risk management & compliance, Program development & management, etc. 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Project Management; Demonstrating efficient organizational and time management skills by ensuring deadlines are met, communicating the progress status of tasks, and understanding project management processes (decision cycle, operating model etc.) 
  • Business development; Demonstrating knowledge of clients’ business sector, news and competitive environment as well as having awareness of one’s personal role as an ambassador of Wavestone 
  • People development; Contributing to creating a pleasant and professional working environment (team player), actively develop skills and solicit feedback from your project manager, embody all Wavestone’s values 
  • Collaborating and coordinating across various locations (New York, Dallas, London, and Paris) to participate in the global practice development by creating thought leadership and marketing materials for selling and promoting our offerings 
  • Contribute to various internal activities (Marketing, Third Party Articles, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), etc.) 

Qualifications

What are we looking for? 

  • Students graduating in 2023 or those who have already graduated and now have up to 12-18 months experience 
  • Natural curiosity about how technology can solve business problems and have an interest in working on projects in cybersecurity and operational resilience 
  • Interest in a client facing role with a solid understanding of what consulting entails 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to foster relationships, build trust and work collaboratively 
  • Good use of Microsoft Office 365; Excel and PowerPoint 
  • You need to be eligible to live and work in the UK at the point of joining. Wavestone do not offer visa sponsorship for this position

Benefits

  • £37,000 base salary eligible for a fixed £2,000 bonus in your first year 
  • Benefits include 4% company pension, private health and dental cover, life insurance, company share scheme and additional flexible benefits you can select from such as additional holidays, subsidised gym, subscriptions to wellbeing apps or Netflix   
  • 25 days annual leave + 1 week off for your wedding / civil ceremony 

Travel and Location

As part of the Global Cybersecurity and/or Operational Resilience, you can join our offices in New York, Dallas, London or Paris. Employees are not required to work in a Wavestone office on a full-time basis but are required to live within commuting distance in the country that they are contracted to.

The UK office is based in the heart of the city of London with a flexible working policy  

Note: Mandatory 3 days per week in Wavestone office / client site during probation
