As a Senior Technical Curriculum Developer, you will join our Customer Education & Training team to help us deliver exceptional learning content to our customers, including the Datadog Learning Center, workshops, and certification program. Working closely with both our engineering and product teams, you will be hands-on with the technologies Datadog monitors and have strong technical expertise to create new and improve existing learning content for the ever-expanding solutions that we offer. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Partner with our engineering and product teams to produce engaging high quality training courses and content for Datadog’s customer and partner curriculums
  • Evaluate customer training requirements, and turn those requirements into a roadmap with clearly scoped courses that have well defined learning paths
  • Create high quality learning content, including self paced online programs, in-person training, workshops, hands-on labs, and webinars 
  • Help create and maintain the technical systems and environments used in hands-on labs
  • Provide informal mentoring and coaching to more junior team members 
  • Uses expertise in specific domains to build relationships within Datadog and identify opportunities for collaboration and advocate for new training initiatives

Who You Are: 

  • You are an experienced technical curriculum developer, with approximately 6+ years of experience building eLearning curriculum, hands-on labs, and instructor-led training material for an engineering and developer audience
  • You have hands on experience, specialist knowledge, or extensive experience in building learning content in Cloud Security
  • Bonus points if you have been in a hands-on technical role previously and have interest in getting involved in training operations (design, efficiency and functionality of the Learning Center and internal tooling)
  • You have often been the “go-to” person on the team to answer questions and mentor new team members
  • You are familiar with a growing team environment and have been involved in identifying and implementing process improvements and strategy for the team
  • You are able to transform dry technical topics into engaging, informative and interesting educational materials.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $136,000 - $174,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
