Comprised of engineers, analysts, data scientists, media experts and marketing strategists, 605 forges new paths using groundbreaking innovations that set industry standards for audience targeting and measurement.

The 605 Summer 2023 Internship Program is a ten week program, running from June 5th to August 11th. Interns for this program will be based out of our Syosset, NY office and will be expected to be in the office at least 2 days per week.

The IT/InfoSec Intern will work closely with the team, learning how to build and maintain a strong service-based support model, with an emphasis on customer service. This role is at the front lines for technical support & Information Security, assisting in the managing of our fleet of corporate devices as well as some A/V, networking, and SaaS products. This individual must enjoy supporting systems with automation and security in mind, as well as providing cross-support for the other 605 offices. Eagerness and willingness to learn is key for success in this role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing the best support experience for 605 employees
  • Ability to accurately lead intake & triage of support requests
  • Acting as a point of contact for all IT related needs/issues, including new employee set up (local and remote) and will work collaboratively with other team leads.
  • Introduction and education of 605’s MDM platforms
  • Learning how IT & Information Security teams work together yet maintain separate goals and programs
  • Ensuring the security and health of corporate machines
  • Account provisioning & deprovisioning, utilizing automation wherever possible
  • Ensuring that the workforce is enabled to utilize the current IT kitbag to the best of their ability
  • Working closely with the Manager of Information Technology Operations on various projects
  • Demonstrating comfortability with voicing opinions, and surfacing problems
  • Being ultra-responsive and capable of making instant decisions, always kicking the ball forward

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a related field
  • A passion for helping people and providing outstanding IT service
  • Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, Switching, etc.)
  • Understanding the importance of Information Security
  • Experience with G Suite, Zoom, Slack, and the Atlassian Cloud
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work well in an agile, collaborative team environment

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience working in IT or Security
  • Experience managing Mac & Windows Endpoints, and their requisite operating systems
  • JAMF & AirWatch experience
  • Familiarity with OneLogin/Okta, Jira Service Desk, and SSO
  • Some proficiency with scripting and automation
