Job Description

What you get to do in this role

• Monitor the Splunk environment for potential issues and infrastructure performance.
• Build relationships throughout the enterprise to bring internal business stakeholders and their data into Splunk. Help technology teams enable their use of Splunk to satisfy their business goals.
• Share responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the Splunk infrastructure and configuration.
• Guide users on data on-boarding as part of engagement projects.
• Work with key stakeholders on developing use cases and knowledge objects to be implemented in Splunk.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we need someone who has

• 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Splunk administration are desirable.
• Understanding of SPL and how to manipulate Splunk data through the interface.
• Understanding the Splunk CIM and field extractions.
• Experience working with Linux environments and comfortable with command line access.
• Ability to read Python and Shell. The ability to program in either language is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of source control (git) and management platforms (puppet) is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
• Participate in on-call rotation

NOTE

Due to the nature of work related to this position, the employee will be required to obtain a federal government clearance. The minimum requirement to obtain this clearance is to be an Australian citizen.
