Job Description

Sia Partners is looking for a new DevOps Engineer to support the development of its Data Science practice.

You will be joining the young Heka team, regrouping our Data, Devops and Software Engineers. This team's mission is to design and implement powerful software solutions hosted on scalable and secure cloud infrastructures for our Data Science projects as well as maintaining our internal solution architecture: Heka.

Our Heka solution is an internal accelerant for our Data Science projects consisting of a development framework, an automated continuous integration and deployment service, and a hosting & monitoring service for each project's platforms. As a member of the Heka team, you will actively contribute to the technological, architectural and governance choices to face the future challenges of scaling up.

You will also participate in Sia Partners' Data Science missions at our clients' sites alongside our Data Scientists consultants, whom you will accompany in their technical challenges and the application of software development best practices.

Your work will cover the following themes :

  • Cloud services using GCP, AWS and Azure: architecture choices, use of storage & compute services, cost monitoring and optimization, role management, Infrastructure as Code
  •  
  • Docker and Kubernetes: application containerization & orchestration, K8s cluster management adapted to Data Science workloads
  •  
  • Python programming: development of server-side tools (bulk data processing, REST API server, authentication, ...)
  •  
  • CI/CD: manage the integration and ongoing deployment of our applications and internal platforms, support the deployment of Data Science projects for our customers
  •  

Infrastructures & Services adapted to Machine Learning: technology watch and implementation of solutions useful to Data Scientists in learning and making available their ML models.

Qualifications

You have a masters degree in Engineering or a high level education in the field of information technology and you ideally have a first experience in DevOps, Cloud, Software or Data Engineering.

You have a strong level in Python and have a solid foundation in other languages. You master at least one SQL DBMS (ideally PostgreSQL) and noSQL (ideally MongoDB) and are able to use its advanced features.

You are familiar with at least one cloud services platform (GCP, AWS, Azure) with experience mixing different services within the same project.

You know how Docker works and how to use it. You are comfortable with CI/CD pipeline automation and have a strong appetite to get up to speed on Kubernetes if you don't already have experience with it.

You are part of the DevOps culture: taking charge of the code lifecycle, from development to deployment and maintenance of applications (mastery of the Gitlab-CE ecosystem is a plus). You are also familiar with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Chef.

You are sensitive to cyber security issues and have experience in implementing application protection solutions (certificate management, HTTPS security, OAuth2 authentication, credential management).

You have a natural curiosity to actively follow the evolution of the sector with strong convictions on the technologies of the moment. You are proactive and able to quickly gain competence in a new technology, both in a team and independently.

You want to get involved and quickly take responsibility for high value-added missions within a dynamic structure.

Fluent professional English is essential. A good level in French is a plus.
