Job Description

Do you want to advise Vattenfall organization about IT & Information security risks and are aware of the latest digital security trends, technologies, laws and regulations? Do you also know this area well, have a pragmatic attitude and like to work in a dynamic international environment? Then you might be the Vattenfall IT Security Portfolio Officer that we are looking for to further strengthen our Group IT Security function!  

IT Security is an increasingly important discipline for Vattenfall business through an fast evolving digitalization as well as cyber threats and regulations. Therefore we are looking for an experienced and ambitious person who is not afraid of asking critical questions and that constantly strives for improvement. 

What will you do

The IT Security Portfolio Manager role is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of project efforts that utilize security solutions, principles, standards, and best practices. Road map development for current and upcoming projects based on prioritization.  

The IT Security Portfolio Manager develops, establishes, and maintains project management standards and procedures. 

In addition to experience in Project delivery, the successful candidate will have background in process improvement, relationship management, building security into their projects and change management.  

This combination of experience and talent must be accompanied by excellent communication and organizational skills.  

This position requires the ability to understand the Security business sufficiently to communicate the importance of projects to the technology teams, as well as to understand technology sufficiently to communicate the complexity in simple terms to the business. It also requires knowledge on risk management in order for the  development of process roadmap.  

Furthermore, attention to detail and good analytical skills are important. 

Your tasks and your responsilibilties:

  • Oversee all projects and programs , their scope and budget needs 
  • Proper budget management according to ongoing deliveries and new potential initiatives
  • Lead, manage and motivate the team to achieve tactical and strategic goals - Proactively work with Other Departments to facilitate practices that meet the objectives and standards 
  • Provide leadership and direction on project management principles and practices and support to those groups and individuals within the Department who manage and deliver projects 
  • Develop and deliver action-oriented portfolio scorecards, metrics, governance, and reporting to support business and executive decision making 
  • Provide day-to-day analytic and strategic leadership for key organization-wide strategic initiatives to ensure implementation is consistent  
  • Align with stakeholder of VIT and Business like CIO-Office / IT Strategy Department, Business IT Security representative, line management, IT Risk Management 
  • Proper planning and investment reviews align with annual budget process 
  • Provide scenario analysis and planning for a range of outcomes-focused on project scheduling and resource allocations

Qualifications

Who are you? 

As our IT Security Portfolio Officer you bring strong communication skills, an open mindset and solid problem solving skills.

Next to this you bring:

  • We believe that you have education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with major course work in business, public administration, and/or information systems and 4 years of experience
  • You have minimum 4 years of experience in relevant IT position in an international/corporate environment
  • You have a high degree of co-operation and collaboration capabilities in a distributed work environment. Also you have proven technical or project management expertise in one or more of the infrastructure and/or application security areas/projects
  • You can incorporate ad hoc changes of priorities based on current cyber threats  and present possible mitigations and solutions towards them
  • Project management capabilities as certification IPMA C are expected, IPMA B is of high additional value, but not mandatory 
  • Ability to develop and improve the IT Security Risk management process in order to optimize communication towards the stakeholders as well as to streamline the engagement to other processes
  • You are fluent in English, other languages such as Swedish, German, Dutch are of additional value
