Job Description

The Systems Security Engineer will contribute to the positive security posture of the organization by executing Information Security administrative tasks to align with the company’s Information Security policies, standards, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Academic qualifications in computer science, cybersecurity, or any related field.
  • +5 years relevant experience in Information and Cyber security
  • Recognized industry certifications in cloud security CISSP or similar preferred.
  • Firewall certifications (CheckPoint, Fortinet etc.) preferred.
  • 3 years + experience in working in hybrid-cloud environments
  • Firewall configuration and management.
  • Systems monitoring, intrusion detection and prevention.
  • Ensure Antivirus and related systems compliance.

What you will be doing:

  • Monitoring the status of compliance against Information Security Initiatives and communicating non-compliance to the business.
  • Assisting with maintaining a compliant state across the business and performing corrective actions to ensure continued compliance.
  • Stay current with changes in security risks, threats and requirements.
  • Perform daily reviews of security systems and reporting on anomalies.
  • Performing vulnerability analysis and planning remediation.
  • Driving information security initiatives and following up with key role players.
  • Ensure change management practices are adhered to.
