Job Description

The Security Engineer works with CTG & Business Stakeholders, and the Cyber Security Office to providing and reviewing Solutions and configuration in line with security best practices, automating security check and maintaining a strong security posture in all environments.

 

The core functions of this role include:

  • Securing and integrating solution workloads and security tooling;
  • Engineering and automating security in all layers of tech stack to achieve security by design;
  • Developing and evaluating solutions and providing security considerations for designs by balancing security considerations and business requirements;
  • Evaluating and enforcing security checks for vulnerabilities and security misconfiguration;
  • Developing and maintaining artefacts for design and configuration, identifying diversions from secure patterns;
  • Providing subject matter expertise on cyber security architecture, design and engineering to other technology and business teams; and

Actively build, maintain and strengthen internal (CTG) and external (other business divisions) relationships.

Qualifications

Tertiary level or vendor aligned qualifications covering both Technology skills, as well as Information Security specific qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in security engineering and/or DevSecOps

Cloud Certifications are highly regarded, in particular certification with Security specialisation
