As an Information Security and Compliance Engineer, you will be an important member of an IT operations team that works closely with our internal groups and external clients to assess, design and deploy security solutions to security risks in an agile fashion. You will lead the security work to analyze attack methods and tactics leveraged against the firm's information and IT portfolio and review/produce technical specifications for any changes or improvements to existing processes, procedures, and technology. You may also propose entirely new solutions as necessary.
You will work with other IT and Operations resources and technology vendors to ensure that solutions are clearly documented, communicated and understood, and advise the business on options, risks, and costs. You will analyze the performance and efficacy of production systems and controls, and recommend and deploy enhancements to maintain effectiveness in response to changing security risks. You will work with our HR and Operations teams to protect the security of our enterprise and client data by securing our portfolio of personal computers and our corporate servers, in conjunction with our Managed Services and Operations teams.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Understanding of a broad range of IT and information security risks
- Experience with HTTP protocols, response codes, modern usage, and web scripting/automation tools
- Working knowledge of IT Security; Cyber engineering or analyst experience highly desired (government, military or private industry)
- Experience authoring corporate security policies (such as privacy, data and records retention) and enterprise security programs
- Recognized security certifications are a plus
- Experience with privacy laws, including GDPR, is a plus
- Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills and strong verbal/written communication skills
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience
