Principal Network Security Engineer

Location Details:

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

Hybrid-or-Remote: This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is looking for a Principal Network Security Engineer to apply their hands-on technical skills, strong leadership, and eagerness to develop solutions to complex problems! The ideal candidate is comfortable defining strategies, designing technical solutions, and driving partners from across the company to deliver shared goals. You should be data driven, risk informed, and an excellent communicator.

What you'll get to do...

• Refine GoDaddy’s Zero Trust Networking strategy and drive its implementation
• Develop and implement solutions to better detect and respond to threats in the corporate network
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments
• Partner to build and/or improve the programs and automations necessary for securing the network, including firewall reviews and network access requests

Your experience should include...

• 10+ years of progressive networking and security experience with expertise in multiple disciplines such as Network Architecture, Network Security, and Cloud Security
• Demonstrable ability to partner with team members at all levels across a large enterprise and drive to outcome
• Deep understanding and practical application of zero trust strategies, like NIST Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), and hands-on experience with industry leading zero-trust technologies
• Hands-on experience with networking technologies like firewalls and BGP, and network security technologies like Intrusion Detection Systems and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
• Networking experience in Public/Private Hybrid Cloud environments, including AWS
• Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
