ROLE

The Lead Security Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing the overall security strategy at MATCHESFASHION, ensuring that all infrastructure and applications are secure and compliant with industry standards

Part of the core engineering leadership team, the Lead Security Engineer will be responsible for line management and mentorship of the security team, management of third parties and the role will involve some hands-on work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy
  • Lead the security team and provide technical guidance and mentorship
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits
  • Handle security incidents and breaches and work with relevant teams to mitigate the impact
  • Communicate security risks and recommendations to relevant stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

KEY SKILLS

  • Strong hands-on technical experience with securing AWS cloud workloads
  • Experience working with product owners and engineering leadership to drive good security practices
  • Good knowledge of security controls, frameworks & risk management
  • Able to have deep technical conversations, but equally at ease talking to non-technical senior leaders in our business about Cyber Security

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience in addressing security in containers and serverless environments
  • Previous experience working in an Ecommerce environment
  • Knowledge of Bot detection and defence
  • Confident programmer with a good understanding of automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
  • Experience with “Secure by Design” principals and working with software developers to integrate into the SDLC
  • Knowledge of third-party payment providers & fraud detection systems
