Your Career

The Professional Services Consultant can make the biggest impact with our customers on how they view our product and to gain their confidence in our technical leadership and solutions in general. This is a senior, extremely technical, hands-on, customer facing role that has an immediate and directly measurable impact on our product with customers and partners. The ideal candidate for this position will thrive at taking extremely complex, brittle customer environments and revolutionizing them using our product – all while navigating the nuances and complexities of customer requirements and needs .The EEC is the face of Palo Alto Networks whether on-site or interacting with customers by email/telephone.

Your Impact

  • Conduct deployment readiness assessment and planning
  • Perform deployments of Palo Alto Networks NGFW products
  • Hosting preinstall meetings/conference calls for design and planning the assigned projects with our customers
  • Lead the customer through the engagement process from planning, configuration, deployment and verification
  • Submitting post-install documentation as required and providing closure concerning any remaining action items
  • Perform troubleshooting as required in coordination with the customer and Palo Alto Networks Technical Assistant Center team
  • Perform after-hours on-call support (as scheduled)
  • Take every opportunity to maintain proficiency and increase the level of knowledge on Palo Alto Networks SASE products, software, and services
  • Make key product and solution recommendations around ease of use and represent customer needs
  • Ensure customers maintain their SASE products with consideration of best practices


Your Experience 

  • High level of experience with Panorama and log collectors
  • NGFW
  • BS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with network/security solutions and technologies (BGP, SD-WAN concepts, VXLAN and general routing and switching)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading security solutions in large environments)
  • Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, ideally Palo Alto Networks® products
  • You're experienced in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies
  • You have a good understanding of Internet protocols and applications
  • Possess the following industry certifications: CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, JNCIE-SEC
  • You effectively handle multiple projects and work calmly in high pressure
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience required 
  • Top Secret Clearance a must

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $107,300/yr - $147,500/yr.
