About the Job:

As a Senior Consultant in Capco’s Center of Regulatory Intelligence, you will have the opportunity to provide advisory services on federal banking laws and regulations with a focus around consumer protection.  You will work to consult and support our clients on regulatory interpretations and the application of those interpretations to everyday business practices, products, and services. We offer clients the ability to ask us compliance questions via our chat and ticketing system, access to compliance webinars, and a vast library of compliance collateral. This team is the author of the Big Orange Book, a comprehensive, logically organized federal consumer compliance manual with a clear table of contents and a well-constructed index.

 

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Research compliance issues.
  • Review and edit written materials including advertising, policies, and disclosures for compliance.
  • Develop compliance training and coordinating training with other teams.
  • Author blogs on an active basis.
  • Build new and maintain existing client tools, calculators and quick reference guides.
  • Build relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Identify areas of potential improvement.
  • Maintain and achieve high quality in work, client relations and team relations.
  • Acquire the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

What You’ll Bring with You:

  • 6-8+ years’ experience working in in the financial services firm and/or consulting firm, compliance & risk management, or internal audit.
  • Bachelor’s degree or CRCM required.
  • Ability to conduct independent regulatory research and summarize results into easily understandable conclusions.
  • Highly proficient in rules and regulations of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC); Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC); Federal Reserve Board (FRB); Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), and state banking regulatory agencies.
  • Advanced banking concepts, practices and procedures used in the financial services industry.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and adapt to changing technological advancements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project / MS Access (optional).
  • Present effective problem-solving skills.
  • Perform job functions accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate organization skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
