Who are you?

Working as an IT Cyber Security Officer, you will be experienced in managing the general day to day IT admin tasks, company IT certifications, security questionnaires, and the management of various company SharePoint sites.

You will enjoy working as part of a team and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will take pride in your work and can present a professional face to senior stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.

The right attitude is equally as important as background and experience and training can be provided for the right candidate.

What will you be doing here?

This is an exciting role which will suit an enthusiastic, self-starting individual who is happy to take a hands-on approach and be responsible for ensuring In-Space’s IT and Security activities meet the established standards set by the company and that such standards are appropriately defined, maintained, communicated, and implemented.

Reporting directly into the Engineering Infrastructure Manager you will be responsible for;

• Demonstrate, articulate, and illustrate to management and colleagues, why or how proposed security controls are necessary and the value they add to working practices.
• Performance, maintenance and updating of company security risk registers including Cyber Risk register.
• Supporting wider team in getting appropriate support for security risk assessment (potentially from experts in wider company)
• Assist in activities to maintain compliance with internal policies, ISO standards, Cyber Essentials and other associated legal, regulatory and company controls.
• Day to day management of IT queries and working with our IT Supplier
• Co-ordination and management of the implementation of key company IT processes
• Creating and maintaining information security policies required to meet company IT standards.
• The primary point of contact between the BAE security teams and ISM
• The day-to-day management of the company SharePoint sites, including restructuring where required.
• Promote the Information Security requirements within the company and work to improve security outcomes.
• Completing security questionnaires
• Managing the building security, liaising with the office manager and the staff responsible for lab and clean rooms, in order to do so with minimum disruption to working practices.
• Evolving IT services as our business evolves.
• Interfacing with the Business Operations Manager and BAE Systems security vetting team to ensure appropriate personnel security processes in place to meet business requirements.
