Job Description

To analyse and research the internal and external Information Security landscape, recommending amendments or alternative strategies and processes in aid of building threat intelligence and maturing the threat intelligence capability. To enable the appropriate design and implementation of initiatives relating to threat response, to mitigate risks and mature the overall Cyber Information Security capability

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Information Technology or  Other Minimum Qualifications, certifications or professional memberships
  • CISSP Preferred Qualifications

Experience: 

  • Experience within FSI developing threat models, risk profiles, cyber-security risk and incident management, and insight into crime in the financial sector.
  • Experience in Malware analysis/Malicious code analysis, in one or more structured cyber threat intelligence formats.
  • Strong IT understanding, gaining insight into digital and platform operating models and cyber security trends and solutions, building cyber security intelligence.

Additional Information

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage, collaborate with, and influence working groups and business areas across the group to guide threat detection strategies and tactics and to understand related information security processes and products and plan implementation of threat detection tools accordingly.
  • Provide information relevant to building out the threat intelligence business case to support budgeting and cost allocation processes.
  • Provide cyber security expertise and part cyber threat intelligence by acting as trusted advisor, giving regular updates and coaching of Technology staff to improve the cyber information security posture across the organisation.
  • Implement the required policies, standards, and mechanisms for embedding the cyber security governance framework. and recommend amendments to improve threat intelligence. Communicate and raise awareness regarding cyber information security policies and processes in the business, technology, and risk communities, improving threat intelligence.
