By applying for the IT & Strategy Talent Programme you can become 1 of 23 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 23 positions in the program is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. This is a two-year programme with a strong focus on your development. You will have an individual development plan aiming at a targeted competence profile after two years and building blocks with learning goals towards that target. As part of the programme, you can look forward to assignments/rotations aimed at giving you a chance to really get into a project and deliver value. 

Your role as a Talent within Information Security
As a Talent within Information Security you will be working close to our Protective Security officer and provide support within the Information Security regulation to our IT line management and project managers across the IT organization.

Focus area in this role is to apply the regulations and Swedish law, within the Information Security and Protective Security area of work within Vattenfall IT. Further you will:

  • provide advice and guidance as well as auditing of Protective security in projects, line organization and management groups across the organisation
  • deal with authorities ; establish contacts, writing formal documents and analysis

For this position you will work with our SPO, learn IT organization, the culture, process and learn much specifically about the IT-security environment as one of our main critical topics within IT. Moreover it is International environment, contact with Executive management and the IT organization.

Vattenfall IT organization operates in an international environment and your stakeholders will be based across the region. In this role you will have the opportunity to grow a wide network within our organization.

Qualifications

Who are you? 
We are looking for a Talent with an academic background, preferably from the Master program in Information Security, but other programs within IT, Data or General Engineering, Business Management would be relevant to, if you have an interest in the field of work.

  • You are pro-active and a self-motivator with the ability to work independently.
  • You find structural working approach beneficial
  • We believe you are rather mature as a person although still new in your career, having the ability to keep your stands if/when facing resistance or being challenged
  • Most important to succeed in this position is that you are willing to invest time into gaining new knowledge and learnings and to implement these in the business context

As a Talent within Information Security, you recognize yourself in the following: 

  • Fluent in both Swedish and English, as well in written as in spoken language
  • Focused and interested to learn more about topics in Security and Protective Security within IT
  • Able to handle a steep learning curve 
  • Committed to a climate-smarter living 
  • Ability to travel regularly  

Do you often think of your logical separation in your network are good enough or how do you really use NTP from an external source without breaking the airgap? Have you read the 4 chapter of Säkerhetspolisens (PMFS 2022:1) guidance of protective security and wonder if there is a difference between import/export and communication? Maybe not. But you want to contribute to protect the information systems that supports the production and distribution of electricity to Sweden from antagonists. Then you might be interested of this!

Location
You will be working in the department of our CIO and our Protective Security officer and the location for this position is Stockholm, Solna in our head quarters.
