Job Description

The Senior Security Engineer will report to the Security Engineering Manager and will be responsible for security operations & technology that supports the entire enterprise. You'll be responsible for design and engineering of security solutions that provide visibility and supporting internal teams with around vulnerability management.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties

  • Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.
  • Sourcing and implementing new security solutions to better protect the organization.
  • Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Familiar with writing, reviewing technical policies.
  • Regularly interact with internal and external peers on security-related projects and operational tasks

Qualifications

  • A deep understanding of security principles and how to apply them.
  • Desire to try things and iterate on them, fail fast, and focus on functionality that matters
  • Strong Familiarity with PCI DSS
  • Hands-on experience with Qualys, Crowdstrike, Veracode, Linux sand Windows systems
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, an ability to use various data collection tools and methodologies to analyze problems, determine root cause and develop solutions.
  • Experience with development technologies: Git (Bitbucket or GitHub), Terraform, Puppet
  • Experience with Request Spoofing Tools (Postman, Modify Headers for Google Chrome, jmeter, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge/hands on experience with Python, JavaScript, Bash and APIs
  • Practical experience with secure development techniques and patterns across diverse platforms (ex: OWASP top 10, OWASP API Security, CWE top 25 etc.)
  • Experience with AWS or a similar distributed computing platform is preferred.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, highly segmented and transient networks, or extreme high-performance network environments.
  • Experience with project management/workflow tools and concepts such as Jira, Agile, Scrum/Kanban etc.
  • Comfortable with scripting or software development.
  • Vulnerability testing/mitigation and response
  • Bonus points for experience with SBOM and Jenkins
  • 5+ years of experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.

 

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 (bonus eligible)
