Pentesec, part of the Charterhouse Group, is our multi-award-winning cyber security MSSP. Providing SOC services, cyber security consultancy and training to organisations of all sizes, they deliver a range of Managed Security Services including Managed Detection and Response, Managed Firewall, Managed Intrusion Prevention and more to our customers.

Currently, we have a new opportunity for a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, where you will be responsible for supporting the Pentesec sales team in the development of commercial opportunities by understanding complex customer requirements and providing technical opportunity support, including contributing to technical elements of the solution proposals, Bill of Materials, High level design documentation and ROI analysis.

You will attend meetings and join conference calls with sales account managers to discuss the detailed technical requirements of a customer engagement and provide consultative advice and alternative paths to project success as appropriate to build customer confidence in Pentesec and our brand and our ability to deliver complex technical security solutions successfully.

You will own and positively develop the relationships with key technical decision makers and influencers not only within new and existing customer bases but within each of our key vendors. Pro-active engagement in research to assist Pentesec in market awareness and the recognition of nuances/trends within the industry all play a vital part in defining this role. This is an integral role that will have a defining role in the sales cycle.

Our focus has always been on connection and collaboration, which is why we offer hybrid working with the choice to work in our Peterborough office. However, this role can also be performed as fully remote.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and internet technologies
  • Experience of working in a similar position within the Cyber Security industry
  • Understanding of Firewall and edge network security technologies
  • Strong written skills with experience of leading creation of HLD and LLD docuemtnation for specific customer solutions
  • Ability to design Infrastructure solutions for high availability, resiliency, integrity, and security
  • Experience and strong understanding of one or more of the following:
    • Public Cloud technologies, including experience with Azure (or similar)
    • Endpoint Security technologies
    • SIEM products
    • Automation technologies such as SOAR
    • Virtualisation
    • Microsoft security stack
