Job Description

Our Cyber Security Help Desk Associate is responsible for providing first line “Global” support for PC and Mac related problems by answering questions or resolving computer related issues in person, via telephone or from a remote location; providing assistance concerning the use of end user computer hardware and software; configuring and installing new hardware and software and reviewing, monitoring and upgrading existing systems.  In addition, you will respond to security incidents by aiding the Information Security Team with end user related needs.

In this role, you will: 

  • Field incoming calls from global employees regarding password support
  • Document and report on status of pending inquiries regarding system access issues
  • Provide support of Renaissance employee’s systems and applications via phone calls and emails
  • Maintain the Anti-virus Solution system by monitoring installations and removing decommissioned computers
  • Respond to Info-sec alerts and incidents by assisting the Information Security team to track down and contain suspect devices
  • Proactively monitor end user systems for unapproved and malicious software and report the findings to the Info Sec Team
  • Work with end users to remove unlicensed software
  • Provide auditing and tracking services in Service Desk
  • Documentation for end users and Computer Tech support
  • Working within an “On Call” rotation with other Help Desk Associates
  • Various duties as assigned

Qualifications

For this role, you must have: 

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred 
  • 1-2 years of related experience Desktop Support role preferred 
  • CompTIA Security+; Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Knowledge of computer programs including current Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office products, Helpdesk ticketing software is a plus; IOS and Android. 
  • Good written and verbal communications skills 
  • Documentation skills
