The Cloud Security Platform helps organizations seamlessly secure their cloud-native applications, workloads, and infrastructures, all from the same platform their engineering teams use every day.  The Application Security team is the newest product of the Cloud Security Platform.  

Application Security - Threat Detection and Efficacy is a critical strategic pillar for the Datadog Application Security monitoring platform and we are looking for an experienced product management leader to drive the key capabilities and growth in coordination with other key pillars of the platform. Together with your team, you will build solutions that drive efficacy of the product to detect threats, correlate observability information, increase signal to noise ratio and ultimately help customers remediate and stop attacks.

This is a key role that requires a background in SaaS and security product management background, domain expertise in application security or adjacent domains (Incident Response and Forensics, Cloud Native security, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), API Security And Bot Detection, etc.), and a deeper understanding of the security challenges associated with modern (DevOps/Cloud) application development.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the strategy and roadmap for Datadog ASM Threat Detection and Security Efficacy, including the product vision, strategy, and execution for the service across the portfolio.
  • Drive and own the product requirements while working closely with key stakeholders including, customers, sales, engineering, threat researchers, designers, and other product management leaders to assure delivery of an integrated experience
  • Partner with our product leaders across Datadog Security and other portfolios, APM, and Logs to derive security signals from observability data
  • Establish clear metrics and KPIs to continuously evaluate portfolio performance and feature usability with a direct feedback loop into the product roadmap
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape and identify key areas of competitive differentiation and market disruption
  • Work closely with Executives, Marketing, Sales, PR, Design, and Support teams to successfully bring to the market new application security features

Who You Are:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in a customer-facing role in the security industry Product Management experience in addition to experience in Engineering, Security Operations or Threat research domains.
  • Strong sense of ownership: will own and measure outcomes along with sales, technical solutions, products, etc.
  • Experience in driving SaaS products ideally in observability or application security space with a good understanding of the Security and DevOps buyer personas
  • Ideally experience in direct or adjacent markets and domains: Application Observability, Web Application Firewall, Incident Response, and Forensics, Application Security Testing, and Application firewalls, Cloud native security.
  • Demonstrated ability to distill and present research findings, market analysis, and product requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong affinity for customer empathy, a keen eye for design and relationship building
  • Demonstrated robust, structured, and data-driven problem-solving and prioritization skills, using strong verbal and written communications.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $187,000 - $240,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
