Senior QRadar SIEM Engineer

Athens, Attica, Greece

The SIEM engineer will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and management of the SIEM deployment in a 24x7x365 environment as also responsible for monitoring, configuration changes, accounts, managing log sources, and software updates for the SIEM solution.

The engineer must be able to analyze, troubleshoot, and remediate issues with the SIEM. The engineer will work closely with other teams to ensure that the SIEM is performing to standard with all necessary logging sources.

Will be part of the Parsing / DSM team for the configuration, deployment, and management of the Parsers and DSMs of the SIEM deployment. The team is responsible for monitoring, configuration changes and managing any DSM or Parser Updates.

Will also be part of the SIEM applications management team for the configuration, deployment, and management of the Applications and Extension of the SIEM deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • New SIEM deployments and installations
  • OS/Software updates/upgrades of SIEM installations
  • Ensures all necessary logging sources are reporting to the SIEM
  • SIEM Use Account Management
  • Troubleshooting of OS & Network related problems
  • Troubleshooting of Log Collection problems
  • Troubleshooting of any SIEM core functionality issue
  • Monitoring the status of the SIEM to include metrics on items such as number of log Sources, log collection rate and server performance

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years managing/utilizing a SIEM solution
  • Experience in performing infrastructure support at an enterprise level
  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of computer security concepts
  • Ability to document processes and procedures

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with various clients and teams with the ability to explain and elaborate on technical details.
  • Sysadmin skills (Linux/Mac/Windows)
  • At least 2 years’ experience with administration of Security Devices (UTMs, Endpoint Security, Core Network etc.)
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc
  • Vendor certification in QRadar SIEM technology
  • Vendor certification in a SIEM technology
