The role


As an Automotive Security Engineer in Vay, you are responsible for assessing the risks for our automotive product, defining requirements and mitigations, and working with different teams to make sure we have the right processes to design and develop a secure product.



The responsibilities


  • Develop, define and maintain security processes based on ISO 21434

  • Perform risk assessment and maintain our TARA.

  • Work with different stakeholders and teams to design security features.

  • Create a security test and validation program for the product.





Requirements


The ideal profile


  • 6+ years of experience as a security engineer.

  • 2+ years of experience working on an automotive product or service.

  • Have the ability to assess the security issues and their impacts on our product.

  • Knowledge and experience in automotive security, automotive networks, and OTA update mechanisms.

  • Familiar with ISO 21434, UNECE WP.29 R155 and R156.

  • Knowledge of embedded system development.

  • Knowledge and experience in security risk assessment.

  • Familiarity with Cryptography concepts


Nice to Haves:


  • Hands-on experience with hardware hacking and embedded device security.

  • Having worked on a production ECU before, contributing to its security.

  • Ability to read and write code in at least one programming language (C/C++ preferred)
