We are building out our pool of Evolve Security Academy Adjunct Instructors and are looking for cybersecurity professionals passionate about training new security talent through Evolve’s #1 ranked Cybersecurity Bootcamp. We are looking for individuals to share their knowledge and expertise with individuals eager to enter the cybersecurity field.

We provide our instructors with the curriculum, slide decks, and teaching materials so Instructors feel comfortable leading class lecture daily. We expect our instructors to provide analysis of applicable security concepts, facilitate hands-on Labs, support students in their projects and challenges, and provide constructive feedback to students throughout the duration of the bootcamp. Throughout the course, the Adjunct Instructor’s efforts are complemented by Evolve Security video modules, TA Support, multiple Slack channels, and Advisor Support.

This is a Remote Online Bootcamp that meets online via Zoom.

  • These contracted positions are for our ESCP Bootcamp which run in the evenings (6:30-9:00 pm CT) Monday through Friday.
  • Contracts run between 1 - 2 weeks, depending on topic.

Responsibilities include:

  • Foster an effective student learning environment, and enhance curriculum and labs by providing feedback on content being taught
  • Daily delivery and facilitation of curriculum, instruction, labs and other projects
  • Communicate advanced security concepts while sharing hands-on experience
  • Serve as a mentor to students ensuring their confidence and on-track trajectory
  • Provide support to Students, as needed
  • Foster an effective student learning environment, and enhance curriculum and labs by providing feedback on content being taught

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on information security or cybersecurity experience; working with enterprise security teams, commercial tools and open-source security tools
  • 1+ years of formal teaching or instruction experience
  • In-depth knowledge of offensive and defensive security capabilities in one of the below topics:
    • Networking
    • Cryptography
    • SecOps Architecture
    • SecOps Detection
    • Threat Intelligence
    • AppSec and Offensive Security
    • OSINT & Social Engineering
    • Enterprise Security Program
    • Threat Hunting and Incident Response
    • Scripting for Security
  • Experience with OWASP and/or CIS Top 18
  • Proficiency in administering Linux and Windows servers
  • Familiarity with hardening cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
