Job Description

As a Senior Network & Security Engineer , you'll have the ability to take ownership of tasks, as well assist the broader Network team using your extensive knowledge. You'll be comfortable with being a senior face of the Network team and as such will be able to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical business people.

You will also have the right attitude towards learning new things and willing to guide your less experienced peers in delivering first class network solutions.

You will have a flexible attitude to working hours to get the job done which is matched by the Nine to allow you flexibility in your life as needed.

You can communicate well verbally, visually and in writing to your peers, management and the business as a whole.

Role Responsibilities 

• Supporting the core network, including VPN access, Portal and B2B access, Data Centre Network, Network Security, Internet access, Office, Service Provider Network, and Network Monitoring.
• Mentoring team members.
• Management of Network Infrastructure including Monitoring and Capacity Planning.
• Deployment of networks to support projects and constant network improvement
• Being proactive and ensuring all processes are being reviewed to ensure efficiency and security
• Responding to incoming support incidents in a timely manner.
• Contributing to procedural documentation and knowledge base as required.

Qualifications

Essential experience & skills

• Strong Network Security focus
• Strong proficiency with Routing and switching experience in large Cisco enterprise networks (CatOS & Nexus, XE, IOS)
• Network Automation experience (Ansible) ▪ Firewalls (Fortigate)
• 5yrs+ working in a similar role

• Cisco DNAC and DCNM
• Wireless Technologies (Cisco WLAN, ISE) ▪ Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• TV, radio media broadcast networking
• Cloud-based information security (Netskope)
• SIEM (Chronicle) ▪ Network Management (logicmonitor)
• Sound and proven knowledge of ITIL principles (Service Now)
• APM ( F5)
