Job Description

We at Vattenfall are serious in our strive to enable fossil free living within one generation. The energy landscape is in a constant change, as well as the continuously evolving security risk landscape. In order to ramp up and meet known and unknown challenges we are now looking for an Information Security Officer with focus on operational technology (OT). 

The Corporate Security & Resilience function aims to be a modern, flexible and agile security function with deep understanding and knowledge of current and emerging threats. The main task of the function is to provide governance and support throughout the Vattenfall Group in order to ensure mitigation of security related risks as well as regulatory compliance in the countries where we operate. 

Security and resilience are of fundamental importance to Vattenfall, not the least given the current geopolitical situation. Working with a holistic security & resilience framework at Vattenfall is a truly unique opportunity for the right candidate. The position will be part of an international team of experienced security leaders. The role will report to the Director Information & Cyber Security (CISO) and work in close cooperation with the Group OT Security Officer (GOTSO). 

Main responsibilities 

The offered position is a key role in developing information- and cyber security governance within Vattenfall. Together with the GOTSO and a team of dedicated colleagues and consultants, you will: 

  • Drive and shape how OT security is managed within Vattenfall. 
  • Develop and maintain information- and cyber security related policies, procedures and guidance. 
  • Drive co-operation groups, plan, coordinate and participate in group-wide security initiatives. 
  • Build up awareness and competence throughout the Vattenfall group. 

Qualifications

We are looking for a security leader who engages with other key stakeholders to find the best solution to a challenge. As Vattenfall is an energy company, a solid understanding within the area of operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS) is needed. Communication and drive are key success factors in this position. We see that our candidate have the following qualification:

  • Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent educational background.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant positions.
  • Experience of OT security management in multi-stakeholder environments and with an international focus
  • Knowledge and experience of OT incident management processes and procedures
  • Fluency in our group language English, both spoken and written. Fluency in Swedish, German or Dutch is beneficial.

The right candidate will be structured, analytical, responsive and equipped with sound judgment. Your educational and communication skills are at a high level, as well as your integrity and ability to keep focus on what is important for Vattenfall. You have a sound understanding of the technological and organisational challenges related to information- and cyber security and strive for finding ways forward. The person in this position can gain trust and commitment on all levels of our international organisation. The ability to drive change is imperative.
