Job Description

IFS’s Global Consulting Services (GCS) Organization is on the lookout for a proactive and experienced individual to join our team as a Consultant in the area of Manufacturing & Engineering. In this position you will be part of the IFS Europe North & Central Functional Hub team and have colleagues across Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden as well as Germany, Poland and Switzerland.

You will be working with our ERP standard software IFS Applications™ and bridging the gap between the customer’s business requirements and the application. You will consult, challenge and advise our customers on how to best utilize IFS’ solutions in relation to their business requirements. In practise this means:

  • Rolling up your sleeves and digging in, seeking to understand customer business requirements and creatively translate them to system requirements.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and sharing your expertise to your colleagues and customers.
  • Developing solution concepts, optimizing and implementing end-to-end processes and functionalities based on best practice approaches.
  • Conducting customer training sessions and workshops.
  • Guiding and assisting the customer with testing and Go Live cut-over strategies.
  • Thriving in an environment with pressing deadlines and constantly changing conditions.

Qualifications

The following elements will be essential for you in order to be successful in this role:

  • Expertise in manufacturing processes such as discrete manufacturing, resource planning, shop floor reporting and costing.
  • Working experience with ERP systems (e.g. end-user, superuser).
  • 3+ years of experience in IT projects for the implementation/upgrade of systems/applications  OR  Experience in IT projects for the implementation/upgrade of systems/applications is a PLUS for us - but not a must!
  • Fluency in Finnish and English, oral and written.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
  • An academic background with a bachelor or master’s degree in e.g. Engineering, Business or IT.
  • Commercial focus, consultative mindset, good interpersonal skills, a will to learn and develop and a “can-do” attitude.

This opportunity is a full-time permanent position reporting to a Functional Hub Resource Manager. The office site is either Turku or Espoo.
