We are adding an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to support our rapidly growing Professional Services team. Within our PS team you will primarily listen to our customers and understand what they are missing and need from us to fully integrate their Digital Workforce. You will work with both Partners and Customers to create and expand their enterprise class IA capabilities by giving advice, quality assurance and mentorship on their IA project initiatives. PS is critical to Blue Prism in expanding our customer base as well as expanding within our existing customer base. The PS team is spread throughout the country, but we pride ourselves with our diversity, knowledge sharing and teamwork.

Salary range for the position: $115,000 - 140,000 per year. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.

Requirements

The Sr. Technical Consultant is responsible for working with teams at both Partners and Clients as they interact with all groups of the business and technical teams to ensure that all technical aspects of COEs, infrastructure, and implementation are completed correctly and run smoothly. In this role you will:


  • Listen to customers to be able to help design the infrastructure environment to support solutions for them using Blue Prism and other Connected-IA technologies
  • Work with IT and COE teams during the planning of Blue Prism infrastructure to ensure solution architecture meets all system requirements and best practices.
  • Comprehensively define, design and manage solution architecture
  • Listen to customers to understand their needs and create a scope of work outlining how we can help them
  • Anticipate, identify and track technical issues and risks affecting delivery
  • Evolve, document and roll out Blue Prism best practices used by both our Customers and Partners
  • Provide mentorship and share knowledge of the Blue Prism digital workforce solution and associated delivery methodology to support customers and partners through all phases of the Blue Prism automation lifecycle and Certification Program
  • Evaluate customers IA capabilities and technical infrastructures in comparison to Blue Prism standards using proven internal Assessments
  • Communicate identified project risks and issues to the project manager together with mitigating options
  • Perform infrastructure and technical review on both full architectures and on sub-systems or components in support of Professional Service engagements.
  • Collaborate with our Global Blue Prism Customer Service and Professional Services teams in technical tickets.
  • Provide education and mentoring to both internal and external teams in areas of technical expertise.

Competencies

  • A strong grounding in multiple of the following: server configuration, networking, network security, access and identity and access management, information security and encryption, application interaction and Windows processes, and other technical infrastructure topics
  • Proven experience working with virtualization and cloud technologies
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Back Ups, Recovery
  • A familiarity with DevOps/CICD, Database, Operating Systems, Security and/or Change Management
  • The skills to architect and implement well-documented, supportable and extensible development and infrastructure solutions to a variety of business cases and engagements
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft technologies (Windows, .NET, VB, C#, SQL Server, Internet Explorer, Active Directory, IIE, etc)
  • Ability to quickly learn and rapidly progress from theory to practice in technical areas and solutions
  • Previous experience with automation and/or orchestration tools
  • You want to know how processes work and when they don’t, strive to solve the problem to find out why it does not work and to fix the problem
  • You are a problem solver, taking a logical route to the source of an error, researching the problem and collaborating with SMEs as needed by sharing ideas with a focus on continuous improvement
  • The ability to design and author technical documentation on a variety of subjects for diverse audiences
  • The ability to work independently or in a group, remotely or on-site, with technical and non-technical staff at all levels of partner and client organizations
  • You look at avenues to make the team better, through upskilling or improved processes, or project lessons learned
  • Strong communication skills with people at all levels of experience and technical ability
  • Experience in training and mentoring individuals preferred
  • Have a great attitude with the ability to foster a fun, productive working environment
  • Look for ways to make the customer better and mentor customers to become self-sufficient
  • Be part of a team and are equally driven to drive customer outcomes alone
  • Subscribe and adhere to formal change control procedures and disciplines
  • Upon return to office (mid to late 2021), the ability to travel 30-50% to our customer or partner sites nationally or sometimes internationally within your region
