Job Description

To work as part of a team responsible for providing a high quality, proactive support and management service to a large multi-client community as part of a customer focused support team. Working to contracted SLAs and delivering best in class services to our customers. 

With the role the team are responsible for the following: 

  • Responsible for the security and vulnerability patch management across the network estate 
  • Investigate security alerts and provide incident response 
  • Liaise with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide future recommendations 
  • Perform ITHC remediation as result of proactive scanning 
  • Work with INFOSEC on threat hunting 
  • Work with the infrastructure teams to aid the identification of vulnerabilities and how to automate the remediation activities 
  • Performing best practise analysis on Cisco and Palo firewalls, and implanting the required recommendations 
  • Get involved in any other business activities as required 
  • Work at other NEC locations and client sites if required 
  • Flexible on moving shifts to cover out of hours work 

Qualifications

  • Relevant and demonstrable experience in a large network environment 
  • Previous/current experience working with Cisco ASA / Firepower & Palo Alto / Panorama technologies 
  • Strong interpersonal/team skills 
  • An adaptable attitude with a desire to drive our customer forward in a fast changing IT environment 
  • Able to obtain or currently hold the relevant security clearances (SC and NPPV) 
  • Self-motivation 
  • Excellent communication and client facing/customer service skills 
  • Full, current driving licence 
  • Awareness of recognised security practices and standards 
  • Desirables 
  • Experience with the following network technologies Pulse Secure Traffic Managers GemAlto / Thales Encryptors 
  • Network Automation
