The information security team reports directly to the top management at Axel Springer SE. 

We protect Axel Springer from harm and defend the business against information security threats, supporting our colleagues and promoting information security throughout the organisation. 

Our strategy, goals and objectives are closely aligned with Axel Springer’s business needs, ensuring we act as a strategic enabler in an agile and fast-moving environment.

Job Description

an integral part of the Infosec team to empower our company with information security solutions and content to improve business outcomes. You support the team by

• supporting InfoSec projects, e.g. awareness trainings, penetration testing and bug bounty programs
• helping to understand journalists' unique InfoSec requirements and identifying tailored solutions
• developing new ways of educating journalists about InfoSec
• helping business partners to develop policies, standards, and procedures
• supporting implementation of best practice technical security controls across all business units

Qualifications

• have an IT background and/or are curious about technical innovation
• are a strong communicator in both English and German
• bring the hacker mindset and want to understand the industry
• have the ability to embrace change and challenge the status quo in unfamiliar territory
• work alongside fast-paced engineering teams and have the ability to quickly learn new technologies
