Help us secure Tealium! As a Product Security Intern you will be responsible for one or two projects that will bring value to the security of Tealium. This role will report to a Staff Information Security Engineer but will also be assigned a mentor within the security team. We are looking for inquisitive individuals with solid programming skills in bash and python (Golang is a plus). Tealium is a remote first company, so this position can sit anywhere in the United States.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated university student interested in the high-demand area of Information Security. Utilize your academic exposure to foundational concepts of computer science and cloud computing which supports the security, privacy and compliance of Tealium's Universal Data Hub product line. Engage your technical and professional skill sets to work directly with world-class Infrastructure and Security Engineers building Tealium’s Information Security Program.
This Internship Position is a part of Tealium’s Rise Program.
What is Rise? Rise is Tealium’s 10-week summer internship program that invests in next-generation talent and offers real working experience with avenues to work for Tealium and/or to ignite a professional career working in technology.
When will it take place?The program will take place in late May - Mid August 2023. Specific dates will be made available soon.

YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Analyze SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) system alerts
- Use Python skills to improve SIEM system rulesets
- Develop scripts to automate various security and IT related tasks
- Projects to show ability to work in a professional setting and deliver results
- Opportunities to learn how a product security team works and operates
- Understand the difference between product security, security operations, security engineering, etc.
- Letters of recommendation
Working an internship is a two way street! As such we hope to provide you with a few of the following outcomes:
WHAT YOU BRING TO TEALIUM
- Interns must have at least 2 years completed in an IT related degree program
- Bash and python proficiency is required (Golang knowledge is a plus!)
- Ability to communicate updates to your projects clearly and concisely
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of APIs
- Familiarity with Git
- Knowledge of Linux
- Understanding of cloud concepts (AWS)
- Academic exposure to any of the above is acceptable
