The Cybersecurity Engineer will ensure that TTRO’s systems are safe from any potential attacks or intrusions. To create and implement security audits across computer hardware, software programs or both – making sure the information being processed on these devices still performs as it should despite any vulnerabilities, they may find to protect against data breaches.
What will you be doing?
You will be working closely with Learning Technology Engineering Division to provide security expertise and consulting to other engineers, advocating, and assisting the Chief Engineer with best practice processes, training, building awareness and implementations from a cyber security perspective.
You will be responsible for discovering vulnerabilities and potential risks in our networks, software systems and data centres with ongoing vulnerability scans, monitoring network data, and ensuring hardware and software applications are updated.
To manage any potential attacks or intrusions that may occur to ensure our systems and client's information is not compromised.
Additional role requirements to include:
- Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of our organisations data, systems, and networks.
- Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
- Upgrade our network and infrastructure systems where necessary.
- Implement and maintain security controls.
- Identify and solve potential and actual security problems.
- Assess the current situation, evaluating trends and anticipating security requirements.
- Keep users informed by preparing performance reports, communicating system status.
- Maintain quality service by following organisation security standards.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
- Build and drive security awareness amongst all staff.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Have an in-depth knowledge of security across various platforms.
- Basic knowledge of software engineering.
- Proven work experience as a Cyber Security Engineer/Specialist or similar role.
- Hands-on experience analysing high volumes of logs, network data and other attack artifacts.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.
- Proficiency with antivirus and security software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or certifications in Cyber Security.

Salary:
Market related TCTC package including benefits
