About the role

We’re expanding our Quality and Compliance team and looking for someone to handle and investigate our compliance incidents. This would include different aspects of our business, such as Financial services; Insurance, Cashback Cards, Telecommunications, Sales and Energy.

In addition, this role would involve improving processes and assisting with other ad hoc compliance work. The individual appointed to this role would work closely with the Security team, the Privacy team and the Compliance team (within Legal and Compliance).

What you will do:

  • Working alongside relevant teams such as Information Security, Privacy and Technology to identify the cause of the incident
  • Applying UK data protection law to the circumstances to determine whether a personal data breach has / may have occurred (and working with the Privacy team to progress this)
  • Liaising directly with the complainants (by email or phone)
  • Working with internal stakeholders to develop solutions
  • Ownership of incident response case management 
  • Handling fact finding, investigations, follow-up, tracking incidents from start to finish, timeline documentation
  • Developing and innovating processes in line with regulatory requirements - working with our Legal & Compliance team
  • Handle escalations from the customer service teams and providing advice on further actions

About you

  • Ability to develop and build new processes, with previous knowledge of our various internal systems are an advantage.(Genesys, Looker, Bill, William, Fullstory, Zendesk, Google workspace and others) 
  • A quality and compliance background within security, technology, privacy and or legal would also be advantageous
  • Experience with working in an incident response team, but not essential
  • Analytical, problem solver, strategise tactics, ability to map root-cause analysis
