The Practice Manager is responsible for technical leadership and personnel management of a service delivery practice area within one of the consulting services divisions. The Practice Manager ensures that appropriate methodologies are in place, current and enforced for the execution of the services aligned under the practice division. The Practice Manager also provides delivery quality oversight from a technical and leadership perspective to include enforcement of the defined methodologies as well as preliminary deliverable review to ensure content is appropriate, comprehensive and addresses the requirements of the project.

Expectations:

  • Delivery of engagements that encompass multiple disciplines, such as penetration testing and offensive security.
  • Lead a geographically diverse team of consultants responsible for penetration testing, social engineering, physical security, and other offensive security related functions.
  • Provide delivery quality oversight from a technical and leadership perspective to include enforcement of the defined methodologies as well as preliminary deliverable review to ensure content is appropriate, comprehensive and addresses the requirements of the project
  • Partner with teams across the organization to help deliver on engagements where multiple specialties are required (e.g., Application Security, Vulnerability Remediation, Incident Response, etc.)
  • Lead consultant team to success through strong mentorship, guidance, and development
  • Maintain clear visibility of consultants’ workloads and utilization to support optimal resource allocation
  • Contribute and drive thought leadership within area of expertise
  • Drive to successful scoping and delivery of complex custom Services offerings
  • Identify gaps in current delivery models and support leadership in resourcing, training, recruiting, and hiring to meet the needs of the business
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with high quality of delivery
  • Ensure consultants are receiving necessary training, skills development, and growth opportunities for continued career enhancement
  • Maintain a billable utilization rate in alignment with Practice guidelines by providing consulting and oversight value to clients

Qualification:

  • Experience managing professional services teams in a high growth company
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Practical experience in a penetration testing role with manual testing
  • 5+ years of information security and/or professional services experience
  • Understanding of enterprise network architecture and design
  • Understanding of current cyber security trends, threats, and pressures experienced by customer security leaders
  • Ability to work with diverse and dynamic teams
  • Experience driving/overseeing projects of varying scope and size; complex initiatives from framing the problem, conducting research / analysis to building the business and operational plans through to driving execution to success is required
  • Strong leadership and communication skills – written and verbal -- to work with clients at various levels, well-versed with business and technical discussions
  • Integrated thinker with ability to apply intuition, experience, and judgement to the available data.
