The Role

Vectra is seeking self-starters beginning their cybersecurity careers. Analyst Interns will be part of a global team managing customer relationships, from deploying Vectra tools to analyzing ongoing cybersecurity incidents. Selected applicants will gain experience in multiple aspects of the industry and build critical skills for long-term success, including technical report writing, network analysis, and blue team operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze threats, piece together exploitation trails, and study lateral movements of attackers within customer networks
  • Assist customers with the integration of Vectra into existing ecosystem and tools
  • Write reports outlining complex technical events for customer audiences
  • Investigate, research, and analyze security incidents
  • Work with senior analysts to conduct training and meetings
  • Ensure Vectra’s tools and services are deployed and delivered successfully
  • Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to productive customer relationships via regular calls and engagements, and work proactively to resolve customer problems
  • Collaborate with other Vectra engineers on high-level projects to deliver Vectra technologies to customers

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 0-1 year as a security analyst or network engineer
  • The ability to present and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and writing skills
  • Scripting skills (preferably Python or Powershell) highly desired. Open source development a plus
  • Degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or liberal arts program emphasizing  critical thinking a plus
