Skillbridge Information Security Analyst

Paragon Cyber Solutions is partnering with our Armed Forces to provide mentoring and employment opportunities for Veterans that are transitioning into the Private Sector after selflessly serving our Nation. The Department of Defense has implemented the Skillbridge Intern program to provide Veterans with opportunities to gain "civilian experience" prior to ending their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline and energy, and we understand the significant value of hiring Veterans.

The Skillbridge Intern will develop an understanding of how Cybersecurity firms develop and implement solutions to solve client problems and increase their security posture. As an Information Security Analyst, you will work with Government and Private sector clients in the following areas:

Responsibilities

• Write in-depth information security policies and procedures for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) requirements (e.g. NIST RMF, CSF, DFARS, CMMC, ISO 27001).
• Assist clients with establishing a plan of action for the remediation of organization-wide weaknesses.
• Conduct security assessments, write, and execute strategic plans to address gaps and identified vulnerabilities in order to reduce risks.
• Schedule and attend client phone calls and meetings, as required.
• Deliver high quality work within reasonable turnaround time.
• Demonstrate problem solving skills and strong communication skills.
• Additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge with Microsoft Office products.
• Understanding of, and general interest in, IT / Cybersecurity industry.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team-player eager to learn the IT / Cybersecurity industry and adaptable to client and business needs.
