What you’ll do

Portfolio Management

Working with the leaders across IT and within Cyber Security, develop and oversee the portfolio of initiatives (program and projects) that maximizes value for Biogen.  This means curating the annual portfolio by understanding the needs of the business in relation to both AOP and LRSPs and translating these plans into what is relevant for this organization.  Once formed, this leader is accountable for the execution of the initiatives that is part of this portfolio.

Functional Management of PMs for Cyber Security

For the CISO, develop a cadre of project and program managers that support our portfolio of projects and programs.  This to-be developed team will be a mix of employee and contractors.  The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to recruit talent and support this talent to see them successful in Biogen.

Outreach - Awareness and Training

Lead a team that is responsible for the cybersecurity training and awareness of our cybersecurity stakeholders, starting with our workforce but work to extend this scope to external stakeholders such as patients and partners.

Program and Project Management – Direct oversight of special initiatives

As needed, be the primary leader of initiatives that need special, typically temporary, support.  Serving on behalf of the CISO, you will serve as the reliable program manager on projects that are too important to miss a beat.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 3-5-years’ experience across cyber security initiatives, 10-years total work experience
  • Demonstrated success across programs and projects – the more complicated the better
  • A track record of customer success with business stakeholders outside of the IT and Cyber organizations.  The ability to implement lasting solutions and services to multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated talent development and management success.  Success is hiring and grooming talent that is fit for the cyber and other IT organizations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
