Job Description

The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for administering user security access and the day-to-day operations of the enterprise security information systems and infrastructure to provide protection to information assets in accordance with O-I policies, procedures and SLAs. This position will  also support the monitoring of IT controls environment at O-I by collaboration with the IT Risk and Compliance organization.  

This position is a member of the IT BSC Cybersecurity team which provides security services to the enterprise. Team members administer user access and security controls for global systems and other major regional applications. The focus of this position is supporting systems and applications in our environment including but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory, global and regional applications, remote access - VPN and OKTA and legacy systems.   

  • Administering user access to O-I’s IT systems in compliance with O-I policies and processes and statutory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley 

  • Responding to security incidents and events 

  • Performing IT compliance activities such as: 

  • Periodic user access reviews 

  • Termination validation procedures 

  • Managing system security protection (anti-virus, malware protection, firewall) 

  • Recommending process modifications when opportunities for improvement exist 

  • Managing global applications access 

  • Managing global file share service 

  • Identification of areas to simplify and implement automate service requests 

  • Maintaining Security team document library 

  • Documenting new processes and process changes related to on-boarding/off-boarding and commissioning and decommissioning  

  • Liaising with other support teams to simplify and standardize O-I IT processes and standards 

  • Escalating to 3rd level support on technical issues when necessary 

  • Collaborating with other global IT operational support groups, both locally and globally 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in information technology or related discipline 

  • 3 years of experience working in Information Technology 

  • Must be able to communicate in English – both written and verbal 

  • ITIL Foundations certified and working knowledge of ITIL processes 

  • Understanding the best practice coming from controls frameworks and leading practices 

  • Understanding of security protocols and standards 

  • CompTIA Security+ certification would be an asset

  • PowerShell scripting 

  • Knowledge of MS Active Directory and Windows services  

  • Understanding of Active Directory Group Policies configuration 

  • Knowledge on cloud-based Identity and Access Management services, especially OKTA
