Team Description:Kitware is actively seeking a full-time Cybersecurity Specialist that will assist in protecting company information assets through security policies and procedures, enterprise accounts and permissions management, application and system security software, patching, incident response, vulnerability management, and security technology implementation, operations, and maintenance.

In This Position You Will:

  • Maintain on-premises Information Systems in a secure environment.
  • Apply software patches manually and with Active Directory to keep OS and applications continually up-to-date and vulnerability-free.
  • Administer system user accounts.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, and penetration testing.
  • Work closely with Security, IT, Compliance, and Development teams.
  • Investigate and respond to security events.
  • Assist with auditing of organizational IT assets.
  • Perform remediation associated with the detection of vulnerabilities and incidents.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Support certification tasks for various IT systems.
  • Research new security technology.
  • Assist end-users when they need to install or learn about new products and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement. 
  • A minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining hardened systems with SCAP, STIGs, and Active Directory.
  • Minimum active clearance required to start: TS/SCI.
  • Willing to consent to a CI-polygraph for clearance.
  • Willing to get CompTIA Security+ certification or better (active certification preferred).
  • Due to contractual requirements, this position requires US Citizenship.
