Junior Information Security Officer (f/m/d)

As Junior/Information Security Officer (f/m/d)  you will be reporting to the Chief  Information Security Officer (CISO) and be part of the Legal Team. You will be involved with all kinds of matters pertaining to the certification of our platform and the maintenance/improvement of its security. This derives into a hands-on daily management and implementation of the best security standards and practices available, and furthermore their adaptation to the world of SaaS. 

In this role you will:

• Support in the development, implementation, operation and improvement of the effective ISMS, based on the ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 standards, 
• Support in reviewing and maintaining ISMS security policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Support with the organization and management of all outsourced  information security activities as required. 
• Record and track IT security incidents, including but not limited to the security of accounts, email threats/phishing, and other security reports from various sources, to draft and implement action plans. 
• Risk management: identification and management of security risks, ensuring they are reported, assessed and resolved. 
• Support with  third party supplier security/compliance assessments and improvement of the information security compliance processes. 
• Organizing and coordinating internal and external security audits/reviews (reporting, evidence gathering.
• Support with the resolution of information security audit findings/improvements/recommendations. 
• Support with the monitoring and reporting on security-related performance metrics.
• Participate in security incident investigations, and support incident response and BC/DR testing activities.
• Implement and oversee information security learning and awareness activities. 

Your profile - what we are looking for.

Essential criteria: 

• You are eligible to work in Germany and are (ideally) based in Berlin
• You are fluent in English in written and spoken communication
• You have first experience in ISMS and are passionate about cybersecurity topics
• You are comfortable working with digital tools 
• You are a great observer and a fast learner, who can easily adapt and prioritize tasks under pressure

Preferred criteria:

• You have Legal or Risk Management background
• You have experience with public speaking and delivering presentations
• You have 1 to 2 years years of experience in information security management
• You speak an additional language useful for conducting business (French, German and/or Spanish)
