Are you passionate about cloud computing with a special focus on information security? Do you have a unique combination of deep technical knowledge, business acumen and strong interpersonal skills? Do you enjoy driving global initiatives within a fast-paced Global Services Security organization? Does the idea of helping customers use the latest cloud technologies to manage and analyze data at scale to strengthen their security excite you? Our AWS Global Services Security organization works together with our customers to address their security needs, and our customers have a growing demand for solutions that leverage big data, data science, and machine learning. AWS offers a cloud platform with a global reach and we are looking for a passionate and experienced technical and business leader to build and drive the vision and delivery of the security analytics - with the goal of accelerating customers’ security outcomes.

As a Senior Manager for Security Analytics, you are expected to have a track record of delivering high quality results and best-in-class solutions in a fast-moving environment. We need someone who’s comfortable building teams, developing staff, and leading by example. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, strategic, and adept at managing multiple work streams at the same time in order to build repeatable and scalable processes and mechanisms. You must enjoy spending time with our customers and internal stakeholders to understand their needs, and to define innovative solutions that meet customer’s requirements. You are able to influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions to achieve a desired customer or business outcome. You have a passion for solving complex business challenges and thrive on constantly improving the customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
* Develop the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for data analytics products that will help AWS customers improve their security operations and outcomes.
* Lead design, development, and delivery of security data analytics products. Design and build with outcomes and metrics in mind.
* Lead, mentor, and continue to build a team of security, data, and analytic professionals. Be a “player coach” in a diverse team that will bring unique value to AWS Global Service Security.
* Be a thought leader in the security analytics space. Understand how security teams can (and cannot) leverage data driven solutions in practical, measurable ways - and design innovative technical capabilities that will delight those teams.
* Lead customer conversations and engagements at all levels to help them be successful on AWS.
* Coordinate with, and prioritize, internal and external partners that wish to leverage the solutions your team builds.
* Be passionate and have fun – You will be leading an important AWS business area, working with a great team, and changing the world. That kind of mission requires not only dedication, but also the ability to know when to stop working and have fun.

A day in the life
No two days will be the same in this role. You will split your time between client-facing and internal projects. Your external clients will be existing and potentially new AWS customers and Partners. Your internal customers will be AWS field delivery teams and AWS service teams. You will split your time between hands-on work and definition and execution of strategic initiatives to improve business and customer outcomes. You will be a mentor, thought leader and trusted advisor for your team, external customers, and internal customers.
