IT Security Engineer

Your mission

As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and scaling up our internal infrastructure, providing end-user support for internal staff in the Prague office and remotely for the rest of the Mews team around the world.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance an IT security framework and IT security policies.

• Work with high-performing team of IT professionals to foster a culture of collaboration and support through coaching and mentoring.
• Continually evaluate new technology trends balancing the need for enterprise-ready technology with a desire to innovate.
• Maintain a current understanding of the IT threat landscape for the industry.
• Work closely with Legal and Compliance in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risk regarding IT security and governance matters.
• Perform initial and periodic information security risk assessments and conduct related ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with Mews’ Compliance and operational assessment functions.

• Lead the security incident response process, including the ongoing monitoring of threats and vulnerabilities, and response to security events.
• Manage our internal certification and compliance – PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO, NF525, SOC2 type 2 and other.
• Keep up with current industry trends in your domain.
• Keeping internal knowledge base up to date.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Security practitioner.
• Experience with modern cloud-based technologies – Azure, o365, Google Workspace.
• An analytical mind with excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.

• Extensive knowledge of hardware, networking systems, security frameworks and risk management.
• Proven experience in creating and lifecycle of company policies
• Solid knowledge of enterprise level certifications and standards – ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC, NF525, GDPR.
• Sentinel experience is a big advantage.
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
