The Challenge

Qualtrics is growing exponentially and that growth means ensuring that our people, facilities, and assets are constantly protected. We must secure our buildings, people, and assets to deter and prevent potential threats, and implement processes necessary that will help us maintain a strong security posture at scale. We are looking for a Senior Physical Security Engineer who will have responsibility for all Qualtrics facilities worldwide and manage and execute daily operations to ensure the security of Qualtrics employees, buildings and assets, which may have a very high level of regulatory, compliance, financial, and brand impact and/or a very high complexity of work and life safety.

In this role, you will manage day-to-day overall physical security support and direction to Qualtrics business locations. Maintain a site-by-site overview of budgeting/spend, existing conditions, contact/contract data, and location specific information. Enable employee engagement, knowledge management, quality assurance, and organizational learning.

You will drive physical security systems design and implementation decisions, including Video Surveillance, Physical Access Control, Travel Security, Investigations, Physical Identity and Access Management Systems, and others. You will develop system data flow diagrams, network diagrams, solution concepts, and strategic proposals enabling the implementation, operation, and improvement of physical security systems. You will conduct physical building security risk assessments, surveys, and physical testing. Manage contract security services including the development/implementation of building security operations at all sites. 

Expectations for Success

  • Eight years’ experience in a physical security industry or equivalent capacity (military, law enforcement, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or STEM field preferred
  • Experience with large-scale security operations in a multinational company environment preferred
  • Experience with external providers/networks or comparable organizations preferred
  • Advanced experience in security operations and SOC framework 
  • Extraordinary communication skills; sense for urgency and excellent communication skills for executive communication 
  • Strong project management expertise
  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles and methods for deploying and managing enterprise security systems
  • Security System administration skills preferred in both physical and cloud deployments
  • Extraordinary communication skills; sense for urgency and excellent communication skills for executive communication
  • Ability to thrive in hectic and stressful emergency situations
  • Membership on advanced level in professional body (e.g. ASIS, OSAC) preferred
