What You Will Bring to the Team:

The Security Operations Engineer is responsible for providing advisory and solutions to our largest enterprise customers and helping them address their biggest security concerns. This position is focused on supporting activities to protect the most valuable assets, like cloud environments, endpoints, networks, and data, through the application and learning of security techniques/tooling, implementation of best practices, and advisory. 

The security consultant identifies and prioritizes security-related requirements, promotes security-by-design principles, and facilitates the delivery of security services like security assessments, platform hardening and control implementation.

A successful candidate must have a strong technical background with extensive knowledge as Security Operations, Cloud Security Engineer, or Incident Management Engineer.

Your Day-to-Day Activities

  • Developing, applying, and maintaining best practices and controls around security operations, network security, and identity and access management systems/processes,
  • Performing security assessments to critical assets and infrastructure,
  • Educating and training the staff on best security practices,
  • Serving as SME on security-related matters to other stakeholders inside the company,
  • Developing, updating, and reporting security metrics,
  • Monitoring and responding to security events, vulnerabilities, or incidents detected/reported.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to align on and execute upon ongoing improvements to tooling, manual and automated processes, and metrics.

Are you fit?

  • 3-4 years of experience in any of the following domains: security operations, cloud security, incident management, or security assessments (vulnerability management or pentesting). 
  • 3+ years of experience and hands-on working knowledge of SIEM, VPN, NG Firewalls, IAM technologies, Security Endpoints, Security Email Gateways,  MDM, etc.
  • Experience handling security incident, from detection until closure.
  • Must be organized, goal-oriented, and a self-starter.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new environments and technologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
  • Extreme ownership.

 

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge and experience with cloud security (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks, like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, AICPA Trust Principles, etc.
  • CCSP, CISSP, CertificationSecurity+, GIAC-Entry Level, CSX, AWS/GCP Security, or similar certification is a plus but not mandatory.
