IntelliSense.io has a rare and challenging opportunity for a talented Cyber Security Specialist to take full ownership of the workflows and processes regarding the protection of our servers, data, pipelines and networks within the Company and between the Company and our customers. Working closely with our implementation teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cyber security.

What you will contribute to

This is a new role in the Company and you will have the rare opportunity to develop the Security function from the ground up. Addressing security issues as they emerge, you will tackle them before they affect our software development. You will evangelise application and infrastructure security and make it a shared responsibility of development, security, and Technical operations teams, to prevent security silos. You will enable safer software by automating the delivery of secure software without slowing its development cycle.

Planning and executing security policies and measures across our company and in conjunction with our customers, you will demonstrate:

  • a deep understanding of our systems, databases, code base and data pipelines,
  • our customers' complex security needs across hybrid cloud and
  • the ability to create and implement a safe environment for remote connection and data traffic and storage.

The focus of this role is internally and externally facing, so you will be expected to deal with our internal teams and customers' representatives, mainly from their IT department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement new technologies and tools to improve both our reactive and proactive security posture;
  • Work with a third-party company to run periodical posture analysis and penetration tests;
  • Work within our toolset to monitor the entire infrastructure and react to threats as they occur in real-time;
  • Incident and Service Request ticket logging, ownership and update through to resolution;
  • Work collaboratively with our software development and support teams;
  • Collaborate with software development teams and team members to develop automation strategies;
  • Document new systems and changes;
  • Design security controls in compliance with group-wide security standards and configuration workbooks;
  • Plan and execute actions to obtain an international level cybersecurity certification, e.g. ISO27001.
  • Stay up to date with the latest application security developments and security trends to continually improve internal development processes and application codebase;
  • Create, implement, iterate, and optimize internal security tooling to allow the team to move faster and remain agile;
  • Support the development of security operations for monitoring, testing, auditing, and regulatory compliance;
  • Build/maintain the overall security integrity of the cloud environments and remediate identified vulnerabilities;
  • Protect assets spanning across infrastructure, platform, CI/CD pipelines and applications.

Requirements

What we are looking for

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Engineer who is proficient in Cyber Security. You will have experience of working within a SaaS company environment and have current working knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Minimum

- Proven previous working experience as a Cyber Security Specialist at a mid- to large-sized business;

- Strong knowledge of various security technologies such as: Active Directory, Anti-malware protection, Vulnerability Scanners, intrusion detection/prevention, system hardening, network segmentation, DDOS mitigation, threat intelligence, forensic approach to challenges, application security, etc.;

- Strong understanding of Security Technologies and designing Security IT Architectures;

- Secure Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure):

- SaaS, PaaS, IaaS

- Access Controls Models

- Public and Private Key Encryption

- Authentication Techniques;

- Intrusion Prevention and Detection;

- Experience in the integration of applications and workflow automation.

Preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

- Security certifications and training courses in relevant areas is an advantage;

- Security Systems Design pertinent to manage levels of risk and implementation of proportionate security controls;

- Ability to work successfully in both individual and team settings;

- Ability to think like a hacker in order to stay one step ahead.
