Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Cyber Asset Visibility Project Manager to join their team. The role is based between Bristol and Corsham with some working from home and travel to other sites. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be sole UK nationals.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 31/03/2023 and offer a rate between £500 and £700/day depending on experience.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Overview of Role

The project aim is to provide the tooling necessary where practicable to automatically discover devices/assets that are connected to non-core (Disconnected) networks. Highlight any unusual / suspect device activity and identify all assets to inform the master Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and in addition update the compliance status of the systems. Cyber Asset Visibility is the CRP activity that is going to help to ensure that departmental awareness of all of its assets both at the local system operator level and at the enterprise IT Services and Cyber Operations level. This project will work to ensure systems are managing their assets appropriately.

Main Responsibilities

  • Project Reporting. Monthly project reporting (risk, schedule, SWOT, future plans) to the Senior Leadership Team up to and including 2* Level. Briefing to Working Groups and other Programme Areas shall also be required.
  • Business & Commitment Cases. Drafting of Commitment Cases and Business Cases to secure the necessary funding for the Project.
  • Stakeholder Management. Identification, management and engagement.
  • Requirements Management. Identification and qualification of requirements for the project to bound delivery scope.
  • Financial Reporting. Monthly reporting (forecasting and actuals tracking) to Deputy Programme Manager and Finance Staff.
  • Commercial Management. Management of sub contracts to optimise delivery and ensure contractual performance is achieved.
  • Change Management.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience of Commitment Case Drafting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Workshop facilitation skills, with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Able to work on several concurrent subjects to tight timescales and have a pragmatic approach to the resolution of several complex challenges.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team to develop and deliver consistently.
  • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail.
  • Communications planning and implementation (briefing)
  • Experience of working in a programme delivery environment.
  • Industry procurement experience.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
