Senior Network Security Engineer

UBDS are seeking several highly skilled Security / Network Security engineers with hands on experience to join ourfast growing Security practice, to provide specialist / dedicated support to UBDS clients’ infrastructure as well as developing your skills with other products in our own portfolio

Responsibilities

• Performs analysis of network security needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software
• Day-to-day operational tasks such as firewall request and incident management
• Designs and implements remote connectivity solutions including IPSec VPN, and SSLVPN
• Provide security guidance and drive infrastructure decisions in collaboration with other technical and management teams, ensuring Security principles are being upheld.
• Development, deployment, or administration of firewalls such as Palo Alto
• Strong knowledge of network routing/switching (routing protocols, multicast, other LAN protocols)
• Advanced knowledge of layer 7 firewall technologies and capabilities (e.g., Application awareness, user identities, advanced threat detection, etc.)
• Conduct regular security assessments on controls and policies to iterate and improve the security posture.

About You

• Degree educated within a relevant technical field is preferred
• Advanced level knowledge of Routing and Switching (eg CCNP level/certified)
• Extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
• PCNSE certified or equivalent experience
• Solid troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of F5 - LTM & APM
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP based networks and networking protocols (Strong BGP)
• Strong communication skills
• Experience of WAN circuits and solutions (eg MPLS and VPN's)
