What weā€™re looking for

We are currently looking for a Security Engineer to join our Security team. This role will help build the new Security Engineering team, identify priorities and then lead the team in all technical aspects ensuring the company remains a leader in Open Banking while delivering secure services.

Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Selection, configuration, administration, development or maintenance of prevention, detection and response tools.
  • Integrating security into different stages of development lifecycle
  • Helping share a secure by design mindset and reviewing our technical designs, products for security standards.
  • Regular testing and assessment of our infrastructure and products (cloud, web and api).
  • Monitoring, scanning, reporting on and resolving security threats, vulnerabilities and attacks
  • Most importantly though, you will support our efforts to deliver, sustain and administer a high level of security for our product and infrastructure.

We would love you to have:

  • Previous experience as a security engineer (infrastructure, platform or application)
  • Previous experience in security at an API focused company is beneficial.
  • Knowledge and experience with application security testing, vulnerability and incident management and tools
  • Understanding of security practices for cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS
  • Good understanding of IAM, SIEM and other IT infrastructure and security tools
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills
  • Wide use of security tools (e.g. Nessus, Wireshark)
  • Proficient in Java, Python, bash, power shelletc.
  • Security or cloud related certifications are beneficial.

Interview Process

The application process consists of a 30 minute phone interview with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners, followed by video interviews with the hiring manager and various team members. There will also be a Strengths & Values conversation which will give you an opportunity to learn more about our culture and for us to understand how you like to work. You might also meet with a member of the management team and or have a short technical test depending on the role you are applying for. All interviews are held via Zoom or Google Meet currently.

We continue to work in a hybrid approach with a mix of working from home and the office.
