What are we looking for?

We are currently seeking a teammate who is skilled at end user support and willing to learn security fundamentals. The position will be one of a frontline security engineer, the person who people go to as a “first point of contact” for security issues. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn about cybersecurity and passionate about mental health.

What will you do?

  • Work with a nimble passionate security team in collaboration with IT and DevOps.
  • Maintain Security Awareness Tooling and ensure that remedial training is allocated as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Betterhelp’s security infrastructure
  • Respond to/Escalate questions from employees regarding security issues/concerns
  • Monitor/Triage security alerts from numerous sources.
  • Be eager/willing to learn about a number of security related topics.
  • Learn and Engage with Incident Response as necessary.
  • Create and Track JIRA cards for projects and assignments.
  • You will care and be involved in our product, mission, and success - way beyond checking off tasks.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT and/or helpdesk experience
  • Experience with MacOS
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a quickly scaling environment

Bonus (Not required, but nice to have):

  • Existing knowledge of security fundamentals


Can I work remotely?

Yes. We operate in Pacific Time and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We also ask our employees to travel to our Mountain View, CA office every 6-8 weeks to collaborate in person in order to build better working relationships and experience our in-office culture. Travel expenses will be covered and reasonable accommodations will be made for those who cannot travel under unique circumstances.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2022. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
