What We’re Looking For

BuildingLink is seeking a Sr Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing team! The Sr Cybersecurity Engineer will work in close partnership with the Lead Security Engineer to help ensure sensitive data and critical assets are secured from current and emerging threats. As the Sr Cybersecurity Engineer, you’ll be responsible for researching innovative strategies to help further protect BuildingLink and our customers. Our ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge of Systems, Networks and Blue Team concepts and strategies for defense. If you’re passionate about learning Red Team strategies in order to become a better defender, this could be the role for you!

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer security applications.
  • Analyze and design security solutions for threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide recommendations for security tools and process improvements.
  • Administer security policies to control access to resources observing least privilege.
  • Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems, and networks.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans, research, and document global threats to IT teams, and communicate residual risk.
  • Monitor and operate enterprise-wide security platforms, investigate events using enterprise Security Information Event Manager (SIEM) and various network forensic tools, and work with the business on remediation efforts.
  • Work with the Infrastructure team to provide hardening & vulnerability reports on a regular basis.
  • Create and/or improve processes and procedures.
  • Identify, investigate, and respond to threats.
  • Analyze network, endpoint, and other logs on a regular basis.
  • Keep up to date with the latest security threats.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Minimum four years of cyber security and vulnerability management and validation of results.
  • Experience deploying & managing SIEM as well as tailoring alerts.
  • Strong experience with NGAVs & EDR.
  • Knowledgeable in PCI-DSS, ISO 270001 & NIST 800-171 compliance.
  • Knowledgeable within SCADA Security Framework & SCADA controls.
  • Experience in Active Directory administration and engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of technology and security topics including network security, wireless security, application security, infrastructure hardening and security baselines, web server and database security.
  • PowerShell experience is a plus.
  • Experience with End Point Security Management.
  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention Management.
  • Experience with Vulnerability Management and Tenable is a plus.
