Binance US is looking for a talented and passionate security engineer who is looking to join a rapidly growing company and team in a position that will grow alongside it. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for building, implementing, and securing technologies across the enterprise including endpoints, cloud email, collaboration (chat and file sharing) platforms, identity access management systems, and web and application systems. 
This security engineer role will work directly with Senior Information Security Leadership and IT Support to help prioritize and develop a backlog of security enhancements and automations. Binance US is a security first financial technology institution and this position will also regularly collaborate with business units across the organization to ensure we can move at the pace the business requires without forfeiting security along the way.. This position will be fully remote and the ideal candidate will have a resourceful learning and self-starting working style. This role will be joining a team that thrives on autonomy, collaboration, and reliance on each other.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of continuous cybersecurity technology / engineering experience with an emphasis on enterprise technology implementations, administration, security hardening, and eliminating technical security debt within an organization
  • Strong knowledge in the majority of the following of core IT and infrastructure categories including identity access management systems, cloud hosted email platforms, concepts of a SIEM, SAML and SCIM
  • Experience working at a startup or a new, evolving role that will offer an opportunity to advance as the organization grows
  • Strong communication skills with business units outside of IT and the ability to break down technical terminology into easy to digest language of the risks and impact
  • Experience with automation and scripting (python, bash, etc) is a plus
  • Experience with API scripting on third party systems 
  • Nice to haves: cloud background, security analysis and incident response, risk assessment knowledge

Responsibilities

  • The Security Engineer will help ensure that technical and procedural security controls are reflected in the core enterprise infrastructure and complies with a variety of security industry best practices and business requirements
  • Help to identify and eliminate legacy technical debt within the organization - including helping to suggest and identify potential tools to help alleviate manual processes
  • The position will work closely with the Senior Director of Security, IS leadership, and team members to implement and maintain security and compliance across Binance US
  • Help to enhance management and security of endpoints including mobile device management, EDR, monitoring, logging, etc
  • Heavy focus on cloud hosted email solution which includes enterprise email and internal and external file sharing solutions
  • Ensuring secure integration of third party applications into the centralized identity and access management systems
  • Working with individual business units to implement the correct level of security in collaboration (chat and file sharing) platforms for both internal and external use
  • Work closely with our Offensive Security and Threat Intel teams to respond to potential vulnerabilities / alerts to remediate as needed
  • Assist in Security Awareness training platform and implementation
  • Collaboration with core business units across the organization to regularly understand the business  context of implemented technologies, integrations, etc
  • Serve as a point of escalation between IT and Security Directors
  • Manage day-to-day security functions as needed
